"The Decree" features her children, Arrow and Joshua, and her husband, Josh, as well as family friend, public speaker, and mental health advocate, Trevor Tyson of Trevor Talks. The hype man himself will be featured "screaming" in the background of Lacey. "We have not put out music in four years!" Josh said during the live. "I wrote a called The Decree. Where we're at right now, we're just being artists," Lacey said. "It's just freedom in your heart to do what you love." Lacey continued saying, "I'm excited!" Currently, there is no release date for the song but rest assured that a heavy rock track from Lacey Sturm will be released before the end of 2020.
