Day 6: Holy Spirit
"For the Holy Spirit will teach you at that very hour what must be said." Luke 12:12
Our God is three in one; The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit. But the Holy Spirit is probably the lest understood person in our Holy Trinity. He has intentions and shows willingness and discretion. He is capable of love. He communicates and testifies; teaches and prays. These are all characteristics that make him a person.
He is invisible to the naked eye. You cannot see him physically but you can feel him. That makes him a spirit.
The Holy Spirit is the angel on our shoulders telling us right from wrong. He's there to help us make decisions based on our faith and what is moral. He is the spirit the was given to the followers of Jesus to guide them on their journeys. Without a life filled with the Spirit it is impossible to build the Body of Christ. We are the body. We are to go and teach, witness, testify and baptized others. Without the Holy Spirit it is impossible to do those things with the right intentions. To receive the power of God, you must first have a relationship with Him. Through His Son and the Holy Spirit, a relationship is inevitable.
In our battle plan, the Holy Spirit is a lot like our Master Sergeant. We call all the shots, how things are done and when they are done but the Spirit tells us what to do. The enemy knows your sins as God does. The difference is God will not use them against you. The enemy on the other hand, he will. The Spirit helps you in filtering out those sins. He's over your shoulder saying, "That's a bad idea. Let's do this..." He's not afraid to tell you what for.
Where does the Holy Spirit come from and why?
The Spirit came straight from Jesus. He knew that we needed guidance throughout our lives. We needed the angel on our shoulder; the Master Sergeant in our army.
From beginning to end, the Holy Spirit has played a very important role in the Bible. He comforts us, helps us, and guides us. He is our advocate. There is no where in your life a believer will not need the Holy Spirit.
Alright, that's it for me! With these words and thoughts, I leave you. See you soon!!
And remember, always stay humble and kind.
