Day 7: Prayer

"Praying always with all prayer and supplication the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints..." Eph. 6:18

The Armor of God is a very favorable tool that gives you the advantage of making your outcome valuable. In Ephesians 6:10-20, Paul states that the whole Armor of God-- i.e. everything we talked about the last six days-- is all  achievable and put into action with one thing. The key that starts the engine; prayer

Prayer (Noun): 1) A solemn request for help or expression of thanks addressed to God.

Prayer, in Christianity, has always been a way to talk to God. Without prayer, there would be any viable communication between us and the Father. With the Armor of God, you can now stand against the schemes of the enemy.

What is the Armor of God?

The Armor of God is everything we have been talking about the past week. When Paul wrote about this, he was in jail. As he wrote, wanting to give hope and faith to the people, he had to think about how it could be utilized and what it could be compared to. Giving one a picture of what the author means. So, he used the armor of a Roman Soldier, seen below, to accurately draw his picture.

Truth- Belt

Righteousness-Breastplate

Peace- Sandals

Faith- Shield

Salvation- Helmet

Word (Holy Spirit) - Sword

Prayer

Put the whole Armor of God to its optimum use. Open war, spiritual war, is happening. Every second of everyday, the enemy is making his calculations and doing everything he can and more to bring you down. He's not the sit back type. He is very active and you taking each strategy and building your armor up is what is going to slow him down.  Find God's truths among all the lies the enemy is telling you. Know you have righteousness. Find your peace and keep up your faith. Your salvation through Christ is more important than anything. Allow yourself to be filled with the Holy Spirit and pray; constantly pray. You are not alone. You can fight this depression or addiction you have. You can do this. Be strong and courageous and never -ever- give up. He is there for you. He is fighting for you and with you.

Alright, that's it for me! With these words and thoughts, I leave you. See you soon!!  And remember, always stay humble and kind.
